Maps are presented for the fires in Los Angeles and
Ventura Counties.
These maps depict Sanborn's Wildfire Risk Information
Product data overlaid with the most recent fire perimeters
for current large fires burning in California. Sanborn
conducted a wildfire risk assessment in 2006 for the
entire state of California. The results from this assessment
provide detailed, accurate information on wildfire threat,
fire behavior potential and susceptibility for severe
damage. The WRIP data is used by fire professionals
for mitigation planning, prevention efforts and emergency
response.
| |
| Fire perimeters have been obtained
from government agencies coordinating emergency
response and firefighting efforts. Date
and time is presented on each detailed map.
These maps will be updated as new fire perimeters
are made available. These maps are provided to help
communicate current status and wildfire potential
to support public safety. |
