GEOBOOK®

Many of today's strategic government and corporate decisions are based on information interpreted from Geo-spatial content, including Remote Sensing, GIS and other derived data sources.

STANDARD DATA DISTRIBUTION TOOL

Often, getting the pertinent information into the hands of key decision-makers can be a significant challenge when cross-functional audiences have limited access to the software needed to view and manipulate the data.

Committed to solving this limitation, Sanborn has developed the GEOBOOK - an intuitive software tool that provides enterprise-wide access to GIS and Geo-spatial Data. Useful for technical and non-technical audiences alike, GEOBOOK offers a convenient, standardized method for GIS Data Distribution. Its book-like format provides a user-friendly interface for audiences with a range of GIS skill sets from the novice to the daily practitioner. Its embedded data access, querying and reporting functionality offers powerful mapping capabilities for everyone.

CONSISTENT, INTUITIVE BOOK INTERFACE

A stand-alone Windows-based application, GEOBOOK is a customizable data distribution tool that’s suitable for a variety of end-user requirements. With its book-like format, GIS information is presented on pages, which are then organized logically into chapters.

Users can easily flip through the pages of the book to access images, maps and supporting content. Individual “books” can also be cataloged into a “library” so users can maintain a cohesive, coherent flow to all the data they need to distribute in GEOBOOK format.

COMPREHENSIVE IMAGERY LOCATION & MAPPING DATA

Containing a range of geo-spatial data content organized into accessible data stacks, GEOBOOK combines imagery and GIS data with photographs, diagrams, maps and written text. Based on specific user needs, Sanborn can further support custom classification analysis such as land use/land cover, irrigated/non-irrigated, pervious/non-pervious and fire fuels mapping.

Sanborn can also integrate parcel, street and address vector data with any GEOBOOK solution. For example, by including Navigation Technologies’® NAVSTREETS™ information, GEOBOOK is instantly transformed into a powerful address matching and location query tool.

POWERFUL GIS FUNCTIONALITY

More than just a tool for displaying static data, the GEOBOOK can be equipped with dynamic data manipulation capabilities, enabling users to explore the imagery, GIS and information content.

The powerful Interactive Map feature allows users to zoom in/out of a particular area, turn layers on or off, query attributes such as street name, latitude/longitude coordinates, and develop customized maps and reports based on a specific geographic query.

EXCEPTIONAL DISTRIBUTION POSSIBILITIES

GEOBOOK is available on three platforms that can be scaled to meet specific organization needs:: Desktop, Client-Server, or Web. Although built on the latest third-party technologies—including ESRI’s MapObjects LT—the GEOBOOK solution comes without any licensing requirements or royalty fees. GEOBOOK provides customers unlimited distribution opportunity.

BRIDGING THE INFORMATION GAP

Intelligent, informed decisions are a direct result of successful data distribution. By utilizing Sanborn's GEOBOOK, customers can get essential geo-spatial information to the appropriate viewers via:

SIMPLE YET POWERFUL DATA ACCESS

GEOBOOK gives non-technical users fast, easy, intuitive access to detailed GIS information while providing the functionality for ad hoc queries and viewing.

STANDARDIZED LOOK AND FEEL

With GEOBOOK, spatial data and GIS tools can be deployed to mixed audiences with ease. And because there are no licensing fees, GEOBOOK is an extremely cost-effective way to provide end users the ability to view and interpret geo-spatial data.
