John Copple
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Copple joined Sanborn in 2003 after serving as CEO of Space Imaging, a Denver-based satellite imagery company, for nearly a decade

Prior to joining Space Imaging, Mr. Copple was a Corporate Officer and Vice President of E-Systems, a company purchased by Raytheon, Inc. in May of 1995. During his tenure at E-Systems (1988 until 1995), Mr. Copple held a variety of positions and was a Vice President and Corporate Officer. Mr. Copple also served as Vice President in the Garland Division of E-Systems, a unit that develops and produces high-speed digital processing systems.

Mr. Copple holds a BBA and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He has served on a number of corporate, industry, and government boards. Mr. Copple maintains active security clearance with the federal government.

Jamie Curtin
Executive Vice President, Business Development

Jamie Curtin is responsible for overseeing growth through business development and sales for all Sanborn office locations.

Mr. Curtin has over 15 years experience and is a proven leader in the successful development and implementation of geospatial data solutions to Fortune 100 utilities, telecommunication companies, and government sectors.

Mr. Curtin comes to Sanborn from Calgary-based QC Data Inc. During Curtin's tenure at QC Data, he served as Vice President of Business Development responsible for increasing market share for the company's business development for the North American business unit. While holding dual citizenship in the United States and Ireland, Mr. Curtin was also responsible for outsource programs to utility and telecommunications markets in both the UK and Ireland acting as General Manage of the Cork office.

Mr. Curtin holds a BS degree in Land Use with a concentration in Environment and Resources from Metropolitan State College in Denver.

Gary Eaton, CP, PLS
Senior Vice President and General Manager

Mr. Eaton brings nearly 30 years of mapping and surveying experience to Sanborn. Mr. Eaton manages all phases of mapping, from airborne GPS aerial photography and surveying to photogrammetry.

A professional land surveyor since 1978 and a certified photogrammetrist since 1981, Mr. Eaton has managed many types of digital mapping projects for governments, utilities and engineering firms. Additionally, Mr. Eaton has given expert testimony for court cases, most notably involved surveying and mapping a Superfund cleanup site.

Prior to joining Sanborn in 2000, Mr. Eaton was Executive Vice President of Aero-Dynamics Corp., an aerial photography and mapping company. Sanborn acquired Aero-Dynamics Corp.

Mr. Eaton is a licensed professional land surveyor in the states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida and a member of ASPRS.

Dr. Mostafa Madani
Chief Technology Officer, Mapping Division
Colorado Springs

Dr. Mostafa Madani is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Sanborn’s Mapping division. Dr. Madani has more than 25 years of combined industrial, research, development, and academic experience in analytical and digital photogrammetry and has designed and managed product plans. His expertise includes developing, conducting, and planning for an array of analytical and digital photogrammetry applications, along with photogrammetry research and teaching experience at the university level.

Prior to joining Sanborn, Dr. Madani served as chief photogrammetrist and product/industry manager for Z/I Imaging, a division of the Intergraph Corporation. While at Z/I Imaging, Dr. Madani was responsible for directing and driving the overall operational concept and the feature requirements for the ImageStation line of analytical and digital photogrammetry applications (VAX, Unix, and Windows Operating Systems). In addition, he managed all aspects of photogrammetry product planning including ROI and market analysis and evaluation of customers’ requirements.

Dr. Madani obtained his BS in Physics and Master of Engineering in Surveying, both from University of Tehran, Iran. He also holds a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Geodetic Sciences from The Ohio State University. Dr. Madani is affiliated with a number of national and international professional societies such as ASPRS and ISPRS and has held various leadership roles such as co-chair Commission I / WG3 and a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee. Dr. Madani has published over 55 industry-related papers and is currently one of the editors of the Manual of Photogrammetry Fifth edition and Sixth Edition (publication anticipated in 2011).

Raquel Charrois, CP, CMS, PMP, RPP, SP
General Manager, Project Management Office

Ms. Charrois has more than 20 years in the GIS, mapping, and remote sensing industries, with more than 15 in program management. In her current role, she manages the Project Management Office (PMO) within Sanborn’s Mapping Division. During her career, she has successfully managed programs, production departments, and the full rollout and implementation of various new remote sensing technologies---demonstrating success managing programs as well as operational activities. She has proven technical abilities backed by professional certifications, applied quality assessment/quality control experience, and accomplished project management skills.

Ms. Charrois joined Sanborn as the Senior Project Manager in the Sanborn Advanced Systems Group before being promoted to the GM position she currently holds. Prior to joining Sanborn, Ms. Charrois worked at Fugro EarthData Inc. where she held a number of roles over a 10 year period.

Ms. Charrois' educational background is in mathematics, photogrammetry and surveying and she has also earned a Project Management Certificate from Boston University. She holds numerous industry certifications and project management certification through the Project Management Institute.

Richard Vincent, CP
General Manager, Production Operations
Colorado Springs

Mr. Vincent, a Certified Photogrammetrist, has 29 years of industry experience with emphasis on field control survey, photogrammetric and LiDAR mapping. In his current role, Mr. Vincent manages aerial, ground and mobile mapping services, including production, project management and business/financial efforts.

Mr. Vincent joined Sanborn from Virtual Geomatics, Austin Texas, where he was the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that role, Mr. Vincent was General Manager for Airborne LiDAR Services at Sanborn, where he was responsible for all LiDAR Mapping Services.

Mr. Vincent holds a Masters of Engineering Certificate in Analytical Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing from the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, as well as advanced technical training from the Department of National Defence Canada, Mapping & Charting Establishment.
