Sanborn's marketing specialist participates in planning, developing
and implementing efforts related to marketing strategies and tactics. In this
role, you will work in a collaborative environment to develop company collateral,
product marketing, media and public relations, web content, presentation materials
and any other means by which the company communicates to its leadership, partners,
customers and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Develops marketing strategies in support of new and existing
products with a focus on branding and product placement.
- Develops product marketing plans and marketing communications
projects.
- Leads the marketing effort to develop messaging and materials
to support sales efforts.
- Establishes and maintains media professional relationships,
deadlines & artwork coordination including ROI analysis for print and electronic
media campaigns and corporate communications.
- Establishes and maintains regional office relationships and
maintains a standard level of regional consistency.
- Develops and implements appropriate advertisement and direct
mail campaign placement as required.
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of various
activities to include preparing and organizing prospective client brochure materials,
seminar materials, Power Point presentations and other promotional materials;
teams with the graphic designer to coordinate printing efforts, monitors quantities
of marketing materials and supplies company wide and places orders as necessary.
- Responsible for the corporate website content development
and maintenance. Supports the graphic designer on content and design implementation.
- Develops the communications plan for press releases. Maintains
public relations activities. Maintains corporate PR procedures and policies.
- Supports the business partner relationships and major tradeshow
efforts.
- Supports the development of annual Marketing budgets.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing
or a related degree. A minimum of five years experience in a marketing and communications
role. Experience with product marketing concepts and implementation is required.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products to include Power Point. Working
knowledge of the Internet and general understanding of web site design and content
management. Working knowledge of remote sensing, GIS and photogrammetry is preferred.
Macromedia Dreamweaver experience is a plus.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to plan,
organize, and effectively present data in various mediums. Ability to perform
multiple tasks, working under occasional short deadlines and just-in-time projects
a must. Excellent oral and written communications skills and ability to work
in an interdisciplinary and inter-office environment with minimal direction.

Responsibilities:
Sanborn pilots operate company provided aircraft to fly mapping
missions in support of our aerial photography and data acquisition projects as
required. Sanborn operates as FAA, Part 91.
Duties Include:
- Coordinate flight plans
- Perform flight operations as required by projects within schedule
and budget
- Maintain records of flights
- Oversee maintenance of aircraft
- Coordinate with all authorities in obtaining flight permission/clearance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Aviation or equivalent experience. Current
commercial pilot license and medical, along with:
- 2,000 hours total flying time
- 1,000 hours multi-engine land
- 100 hours in make and model of designated aircraft
- IFR rating
- Familiarity with computers and software
- Overnight travel required
Flying Experience: Twin
Aero Commander time preferred. Company aircraft include Twin Engine Commander
500S, Piper PA31-310, and/or Piper PA31-325. Annual ground and flight training
required in make and model of designated aircraft

Responsibilities:
The Proposal Coordinator serves as the key organizer of Sanborn proposals as well as a contributing writer to ensure Sanborn proposals are accurate, timely, compelling and high quality. This position analyzes RFP and other bid documents to identify and outline proposal requirements; organizes and tracks proposal writing assignments; creates and maintain schedules for the development and submission of proposals, writes or develops material and or edits, formats writing assignments developed by others on the proposal team, print and bind in accordance with specific RFP requirements and ships/delivers proposals on time. Additionally, this role collaborates with departments across Sanborn to obtain various required documents, such as EEO-1 reports; insurance information; etc.
As a writer on proposal efforts, the Proposal Coordinator outlines, writes, and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications.
The position entails coordinating and producing winning proposals and presentations, statement of qualifications, as well as maintaining Sanborn’s standard or boilerplate documents or other proposal documents as required. Candidate must be able to work productively under the pressure of tight deadlines.
Duties Include:
- Analyze RFPs and other bid documents
- Create proposal templates and standard sections
- Develop proposal outlines/structures
- Establish proposal schedule
- Coordinate production and submission of response
- Assign proposal writers. Edit and rewrite writing of proposal contributors
- Assist with content for proposals ensuring proposals are well written and create a high quality company image assuring the use of current templates and style guides
- Review written materials and recommend revisions or changes in content and format
- Request, gather and review materials from other Sanborn departments.
- Organize and coordinate the overall production and delivery of proposals, with responsibility for the final product
- Ensure Sanborn proposals are consistent with Sanborn branding standards
- Follow AP Style Guide Standards and stay current on style guide changes
- Reads journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with our industry, product technologies and production methods and stay informed of changes
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Extensive writing and editing experience and experience formatting, writing, and revising proposals, preferably in a technical setting. Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Natural sales aptitude. Extensive experience is using Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
